We ran out of things to do today...so Ryan looked for more. Seriously. You can tell how bored the poor kid was. He's playing with a BOX! He was actually laughing and screaming into it...so maybe he was having more fun than I thought?
We found a fun website this afternoon. It was mentioned on one of the parenting forums I frequent. You see, Ryan often grabs at the keyboard if he is sitting on my lap and this particular site is designed just for that...babies. It's called Kneebouncers. It has different games to choose from where the only objective is to randomly hit keys on the keyboard to make something happen. In this photo, Ryan was waking a little green and yellow monkey. First the monkey would wake and go back to sleep, but when Ryan would slap the keys repeatedly, the monkey would wake and fly face first at the screen before appearing to smack into the other side.
This really tickled Ryan. So we played again.
And again.
And again.
You get the point.
I'm not sure if it was sheer boredom at this point or over-stimulation from the monkey, but Ryan then went down for a second nap! He hasn't done this (in the late afternoon) in weeks!
Nice change though, because it freed me up to start tea. Yay!
