Day 100 of 365: Thursday Theme - Patterns

Here lie 50% of a fantastic Christmas gift of fuzzy socks from my in-laws. I received 12 pair total and I have worn them all! I couldn't get them all in the picture as some are in the laundry, but these are most of the patterned ones. I'm imagining that when Matt & I have a proper dresser, we will need to vacuum-seal them to fit into the drawers. They have to be the most comfortable socks I own, not to mention the most effective for the current cold-weather climate. Plus, they go PERFECT with my fuzzy, memory-foam house slippers and dressing gown. I just need a set of hair rollers and I'm sure to look like a real treat! HA!

Day 86 of 365: I Love Christmas!

There are SO many things about Christmas that I love. Being around people I care about and who care about me, to start. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get back to the States this year for Christmas...so I haven't been able to spend it with my family in Ohio -- but I love you all and miss you loads!!

I was fortunate to have Matt's family to spend the holiday with this year, however. Let me just say that it was so nice to spend time with people...

...eating a delicious meal...

...and carrying on Christmas traditions -- like wearing the foil Christmas crown from your party popper. Love it!!

Plus, it's also nice to have a Christmas where people all sit in the same room, having good conversation, and watch one another open presents. I really loved and enjoyed the company I was with this Christmas.



But...the biggest thing I loved about Christmas (this year in particular) was being in his arms!

It's nice to be together -- where we belong.

Day 30 of 365: Coincidentally...Red

I did a double-take when I heard the music and saw what was outside of our window. Nearly November and still peddling creamy goodness!! In fact, it made me think of a card I sent a friend a couple months back...

"As Jen heard the distorted tones of 'Teddy Bears Picnic' drifting through the bedroom window, she realized she was caught in the ultimate female dilemma...to carry on making love to her man, or chase after the ice cream van."

I voted the ice cream van, hands down.

The lithium batteries died on the camera as soon as I snapped this one from the window, so it was my only choice in piccy for the day. It also happens to be red...just like the Thursday Theme.

It's going to be a very busy Friday. I'm not sure if I will even be able to get new batteries, let alone have much time to post another before the wedding. We'll have to see...stay tuned. Pasta mess tomorrow night anyway at Em & Daz's...mmm!
