Year 2 Day 265: What to Do...What to Do?

Epitome of our day right here. Boring. Just boring. It was too hot to really be motivating enough to go anywhere and I really need a pair of jeans that fit comfortably and aren't falling apart before I go out again.

Ryan fought sleep for a majority of the day and maybe had a couple of 40 minute cat-naps. I just told Matt that I'm running a bit on empty today in particular after being up with little man since 5am -- little early bird.

I feel like we need something to occupy our time during the week now. Especially now that he is more alert and active. In fact, rarely will he even stay on his back anymore when placed on his pay mat.

He even got bored on his mat at one point and watched his Waybuloo programme with his head down.

We REALLY need to get out.

Year 2 Day 10: Little Girl...Little Curl

My mom used to recite this little gem to me as a child:

There was a little girl
Who had a little curl
Right in the middle of her forehead
And when she was good
She was very, very good
But when she was bad
She was horrid

Such a pleasant ending, don't you agree? Still, every time I wear my hair curly (which requires much less fuss than straightening it) I think of that little verse.

The photo was to document the extent of my boredom today. I felt too crappy to do much of anything having woken up with a headache, so after taking a quite invigorating shower I had the brilliant idea that I should cut my hair. It had grown halfway down my back and I'm not big on getting a trim every 6-8 weeks...so I threw caution to the wind.

I ended up trimming a good 4-5 inches off in the end. The hand in the face on the photo is for your viewing protection since I look like night of the living dead today. You're welcome.

Another, in better light (for good measure)...

Day 96 of 365: **ALERT!**

Please Note:
My boredom (because of being out of work from holiday) status has now been raised to "yellow" or "elevated," if you will. This means I have significant risk of climbing the walls soon.

I feel like I have nothing to really take photos of lately, unless there's a random vagabond horse. This photo was taken today (from our kitchen window, overlooking the neighbour's back garden) around 4:30pm and there is STILL frost outside on the ground. This seriously inhibits my desire to go on a walk, which means I am stuck inside all day because I can't drive anywhere. I can't drive anywhere for a couple of reasons...first, I'm not insured on Matt's car, so that option isn't open...and second, I don't have money for petrol to get me any place if I was insured on his car.

Thus. the end result...boredom.

Hurry up, springtime!!
