It's here and in full force. Leaves are changing to rustic reds and yellows and the night air now has a distinct chill. I think it may even be time to put away the flip-flops and bring out the
woolly jumpers. It really is my favourite time of year. The one thing I am noticing that I miss the most about America this time of year is College Football on a Saturday accompanied with a traditional helping of good 'ole
tailgating. Nothing beats that!
I've decided that since having moved to our house here in
Brierley Hill at the end of June, I want to really get to know the area like I did when we lived in
Kingswinford. There are plenty of places to walk around and I could use the exercise the closer I get to the end of this pregnancy.
I'm also hoping that now we've entered the month of October I will start getting more calls for supply work. I haven't had one yet and my one-to-one tuition assignment in
Kingswinford is coming to a close with the final session tomorrow. I have really only about 8-10 weeks until I'll have to stop for a while and it would do the checking account some good as well as take some pressure off dear husband -- who is working ever so diligently to take care of us.
Until I get that magical call, however, it's Little Susie Homemaker for this vertically-challenged, yet feisty, American.

Caught your blog at a good time then. That's one thing I do miss about England, the autumn. Here the sun still shines brightly and the house is still warm. No need for duvets yet . . . but soon, I think.
Congrats on the baby . . I'm working my way backwards through your posts and enjoying your easy writing style which makes reading your posts so relaxing.
That's a really beautiful photo!
