Day 156 of 365: Little Red (evil) Pen

Some schools use green, and I must say, I prefer green over red. Red always comes across (to me) as "angry" and "negative." Green, on the other hand, or a less BOLD colour makes pointing out mistakes less harsh.

I've brought home a TON of marking over the past couple of days. I've mentioned before that I am assigned to this school only for the week and the last thing I want to do is leave a pile of marking for the teacher (who has already been out another week before this). I think having been a regular classroom teacher myself, I empathize with the hard work that goes into getting things finished, like marking. I just consider it "looking out for my fellow (wo)men."

Tomorrow may or may not be my last day at this assignment. Hopefully they will know if the school will require me again next week. I'm crossing my fingers that they do as another week of solid work will really help. Yay consistency!!

I usually *feel* decidedly angry and negative whilst marking. ;) But I teach uni students, so presumably their little psyches are a bit tougher.

I guess the only part that gets me angry (in a sense) is that I HAVE to mark, hehe. There's no getting around it.
